Description
Amiko Safety Stirrups, Aluminium Bottom Opening
A safety stirrup with a bottom-opening release mechanism — built to free your foot in a fall by releasing at the base, while keeping a clean, traditional stirrup shape under your boot. A solid choice for riders who want proven safety without the bulk of a magnetic system.
The body is durable aluminium and the pair weighs 1500 g together, giving you enough mass to find them quickly with your foot while keeping the overall weight balanced for daily riding. The bottom section is what makes these safety stirrups: under pressure (such as from a foot getting caught in a fall), the lower part releases outward to free your foot, then resets back into position once the pressure is gone.
The tread is stainless steel for solid grip in wet, muddy, or icy conditions, and the stirrups fit standard stirrup leathers, so they slot straight into your existing tack setup. Universal sizing at 12 cm — wide enough for adult riding boots without being roomy. Sold as a pair in black.
Suitable for everyday training, schooling, and competition across all disciplines.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth after riding, especially after wet or muddy sessions. Dry thoroughly before storing to prevent corrosion. Avoid harsh detergents or solvents that may affect the release mechanism. Check the release function regularly — a quick test press is good practice before competitions.
